what's this?

I saw this little guy crawling around the tank tonight. He is interesting and very fast. I have never seen one of these before and am wondering what it is.

I have never seen one in person, but I think it may be a stomatella snail....they are good to have from what I have read....

Stomatella varia. Do some reading on this wonderful hitchhiker.

thank you for your reply. I have done a bit of reading since seeing your post and I am glad that they are harmless. They are interesting little critters and I look forward to seeing more of them!
