What's up with my clowns ?

They eat good act ok but on there face looks real bad almost like there face is getting eating by something ? there bodies look real good also !!!

I've had two clowns (percs) die on me in the last few weeks that were purchased from local stores. They were both new additons to my tank. I was told that hurricane Ivan messed up the ph of several retail outlets which damaged a lot of fish. They developed a sort of stringy cotten thread like mucus on their bodies and had a very high respiratory rate and eventually died. How long have you had the clowns???

Had them for more then 3 months !!! like I said they act fine ...
