I have a 29g reef with a 3...or so hob ref.
150watt MH 14k
96 watt actinic
I have a Sebae Anemone that I bought at ***** about a year or so ago. It has been doing very well. It has at least doubled in size, and has gotten back a lot of it's tanish brown color that Sebae's have.
Until recently.....
About a month ago, over night, it moved from the the front of the rock that it was attached to...all the way around to the back....tucked up into a dark spot on the backside of the rock. I couldn't even see him....I found him there by touch.
So I let it go for about 2 weeks...and then came time to do a water change, so I flipped the rock over (of course this meant re-arranging the entire tank), did the water change, and just let it go for a while longer. At least I could see him now.
So now, two weeks later, he's still attached to the rock, but is only about the size of a silver dollar, and looks like he's bleached out. I know with Sebae's, that the darker color is an indication of good health, and bleached indicates malnutrition/starvation.
So what's up with this guy? Why did he take such a sudden nosedive??

Hard to say but sounds like, since you have sufficient lighting, that there must be some kine of water quality issue.

Nitrates are slightly high.....20ppm, maybe?
Other params all good.
Like I said.....he seemed perfectly fine one day...and not fine at all the next.
Not sure what to make of it....
