whats wrong with my flame angel?

my flame angel on his one side looks like the colors fading it has white on it not like ich. its weird its on his fin on that side to. hes been trying to get my emerald crab, hermits, and my cleaner shrimp to clean him but they wont do anything. it looks like his scales are scraped up or something.

i have had him for about a month and no he went right into the tank. they had him in there tank by him self for a couple weeks before i bought him. i went in to check on him. and i have a 10 gal tank i can setup for qt for him.

Did you ever find out what was wrong? I have a coral beauty that is just like your problem, it looks like his scales were scraped & his color is fading badly. He also was alone in a tank when I bought him. hmmmm

no havnt y7et the bottom half of his front black stripes not black anymore. but he seems to be eating all the time and like i said trys to get the cleaner shrimp to go for him but the cleaner shrimp wont clean anything for some reason.
