Whats wrong with my Frogspawn!!

I added some marine buffer earlier today, as I do about once or twice a week. I went out for a few hours and came back. The frogspawn was all shriveled up and secreting mucus, some of the tentacles looked popped and brown. Everything else in the tank is fine. My water checked out ok.
SG 1.024
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0
PH 8.3
Calcium 420
Alkalinity 7-8
Phosphate .1
Sorry about the picture quality, but I hope someone can help me. I have had this frogspawn since I started my tank and it has been doing great.
Livestock wise I have hermit crabs, 1 emerald crab, mexican turbos, a brittle star, 1 cleaner shrimp, 1 coral banded shrimp, and various other corals, no fish yet.
I appreciate any help.

somtimes mine does the same thing, do you feed your corals, if not, mabey you should start, and just give it some time, when mine does that, the next morning it looks fine,,, also what lighting do you have.
i also heard that frogspawns are sopose to be on the sand

Yes, I do feed my corals. I feed phyto-feast every other day and frozen mysis 2 times a week. I have PC lighting 4X65. That is why I have my frogspawn on my rocks. I was told high light and light to moderate flow. Thanks for the info.

My FS looks better today, but it still isn't coming 100% out. Does anyone else have any comments or ideas?
Thanks

Well if it looks better im sure it will continue to look better everyday until its back to normal. I kinda went though a similar crisis with my Colt coral yesterday but now its looking better already. :cheer:

frogspawn thrive in turbid conditions, (medium flow and silty water) low light, though they do fine in just about any light, from halide to PC, lighting isnt that critical to them. since you added buffer, possibly a spec or two wasnt dissolved all the way and landed on your frogspawn giving it a chemical burn. if its looking better I wouldnt worry too much your parameters look fine. I would guess it is on the comeback trail.
