so heres my devils hand leather, for a while there have been some white spots forming at the base of the fingers. Now after some time, one looks like this. Is it fraggin off or is it dying?
i had some low alk that i have recently fixed, could that opf stressed it to do this? other than that spot on with everything else. Has good flow too

The white spots look like necrosis a little bit, but more along the lines of something stripping it or picking at it.
As for the back falling off, it looks like a clean break. See how it is white underneath? Was that part of the leather starting to grow under the rock and become shaded?

hard to tell what caused that but to be sure it was nothing bad i would just take a razor and slice that section off clean. the leather wont mind much at all and in a few days it will perk back up with no problem.

sometimes leathers of this type will realease babies through necrosis, a section will die between a lobe and the main body letting the baby go. usually the division is made between two pieces that are adhered to different surfaces, if the necrosis spreads further you may want to cobnsider fragging the leather to save it, but for now I would say just moniter it and see if its just dropping some babies.

new pics of the leather, i made it mad today by moving it so its not opening, and the necrosis areas appear more easily when its not open. So i took a few more pics. what u all think is happening here?
