Whats wrong with my tang?

I bought a new tang and slowly got him use to the water difference and than placed him in my tank. Now hes laying sideways under a rock. Hes alive but isnt leaving the from under he rock. whats going on?

The tang is a blue with yellow tail. I had him in a bowl and slowly added water from my tank over a hour of time. Than I placed him in the tank. Yes I do have other fish in there... a clown, AND 2 blennies. the tank has been up for 2 years. I bought it from a friend of mine, we moved it about 2 weeks ago but kept all the water. So everything is the same. The ph, saline and nitrate are normal.

mine does it all the time..very common when first introtuced as previously posted

mine hides in the rock work alot it wil sit on the rocks and hide between them i was scared the first time i saw him doing that

Ya I thought that he had lost his mind last night. He kept on getting stuck behind the power heads for the wave makers, because of the suction he couldnt get away.lol I thought that I was gonna lose him, but nope hes still there. Why do they play dead like that?

Just lazy fish sometimes. They tend to do it when first introduced into a new tank. May just be their way of getting used to things. I'm sure at night he will do the same thing as he goes to bed.

Yup, have to second the blue hippo tang. Mine also lays on his side sometimes. Usually when we add more LR and he discovers a cave he likes.
