My dream tank is the 35000 gallon shark lagoon that construction will begin on in April. It has been years in the making and planning but has finally come true.

This is way out there, But I've always thought it would be cool to buy an old building, you know like the ones you see in some old town squares and fix half of the downstairs like a normal apt, (have to do all the furniture in plastic I guess), and flood that and let the fish swim around in there..I know it's crazy, but you said "dream tank"...One better I would love to build a house over an old swimming pool and have a nice clear lexan floor over it and sit there and watch t.v. with your fish swimming around underneath you.. :joy: :joy:

Not to hijack the thread but a solarium is being built first and then the pool will be built inside. I will be adding the sharks from my 18000 gallon pool as well as some new ones. These include bonnetheads, Atlantic sharpnoses, sandbar sharks, and Pacific black tip reef sharks. Am considering adding some white tips, but we'll see.

as for realistic dream tanks, i've always liked this simple shark tank from the Phoenix zoo:

I am not a huge shark tank fan, I like moray's pick two tanks up, tanks so damn big you could swim and pee in it. I would say my deam tank would be a 2,000 gallon reef with schooling fish like powder blue tangs and a mega mix of chromis.
Agressive would have to be a true dragon moray.
