Whats your take on this tank?

I have a 55 gallon saltwater tank, so I know how to take care of one. I seen this particular tank at my local fish store and they had one of these set up. It looked great! They had only had it up for a week so, I was wondering if anyone had a tank like this that has been running for a while. Mostly worried about the flow (40 gallons) and the lighting. I just don't want to jump into this thing and end up disappointed. All thoughts are appreciated!

My take it says its a 2 gallon tank not 40. For the the one being sold it would make for a nano fish only tank, I mean 1 fish only and a small one at that. If they make a 40 gal I never say a all in one 40 gal tank. I would check on the type of lighting, it would still be a fish only tank and the filtration will dictate of many fish you could keep.

Yea, I wanted the 2 gallon, I assume you mean 4 and not 40 gallon. They only had 2 fish in it tiny fish, not sure what they were as I hadn't ever seen them before, 2 crabs and 2 snails, and a blood shrimp. They did have some LR in there as well, only 1 or 2 pounds. It looked really great.

My LFS has one setup with some small coral frags and a custom little LED light on it. He's got a tiny goby in it and a pom pom crab. It's actually a cool little tank. I think the Pico setups are a little nicer and easier to function. The LFS owner said getting in and out of the tank can be a pain.

This is a 3g pico tank by a guy with the handle geldof on RC.
Small tanks can be a pain in the butt to get stable, but they are challenging and can be really beautiful.

Would this tank work though as is for just a small fish, a few crabs and snails. Maybe a shrimp? It sure does look good, but, I'm just worried they set it up to look good to sell them and will take it down once the sales go down. I trust my LFS with all my tank Ned's and concerns, just worried they are just doing it for the sales.

the smaller the tank the more difficult to keep up. sounds like it would be easier but a much smaller problem can cause a huge roblen in that small of a tank. so like snake said be dedicated to it. check your levels often and do small water changes often. if you do it the right way from the beginning it shouldnt be a problem.

look at maybe a 6 gallon or something. p3tsmart sells some pretty cool little tanks (probably over priced) but the bigger the easier itll be to take care of
