I took the wheels off mine for the fact that it sprayed salt all over the place. But I have been told that you should remove them because wheels will cause a build up of bacteria which can harm your system

There are opinions both pro and con, but from what I could find out, mostly con.
I took mine out and taped up the holes in the spray bars. Now you can't even tell it's running. It's a big surface moving powerhead now. I run whatever media I need to use in it too.

it all depends on how much lr you have, and how much bioload in your tank. if you have plenty of lr, and your tank isn't overstocked, then the wheels should be removed. on my fowlr tank, i have just enough lr to make the tank look good, and have a high bioload,- so i do use an emperor 400 with the biowheels and protein skimmer. It's been about a year and no problem. With regular water change, you shouldn't have any nitrate problems at all. and if you removed them, only remove 1 biowheel at a time. good luck

got about 150lbs. of live rock 40 lbs of sand, 4 false percs, arc eye hawk and a coral beauty so i dont feel my bioload is that high all in a 75 if i didnt metion it before

remember to remove 1 biowheel at a time, and give it a week or 2 before you move the others. how long has the clowns been in the tank together, and how are they getting along?

I have a similar setup and couldn't figure out why my nitrates were so high. Took off the biowheel and made some water changes to get back to normal and it really helped.
Seems to me you have enough liverock fer sure.
