When do I call him MIA

I have (had?) a diamond goby. He was about 2-2.5" long. Pretty small for one of these. I had him for about 4-5 months. He always stayed under his rock during the day and came out at night. I have not seen him for about a month. How long should I look for him before I officially list him as a casualty of the tank?

Check the floors around your tanks. That is where I found mine after about 4 days of it being MIA.

He is not around on my floor unless he wend down the wall and behind the tank. I keep my overflow covered with plastic.

I had one and I have a glass cover on my tank, except for about a 2" gap along the back edge. I know he jumped. I have read on here of these fish jumping through the gaps in eggcrate covering the top of the tank. I'm not saying yours jumped. I am just not saying it is not uncommon. And if you have any dogs or cats.... well let's just say you may never know.
