when is a tank considered a "reef tank"? i have a 55 gallon now with about 30 lbs of live rock. no live corals yet though. what do i need to make it a reef tank?

the two most important items have been mentioned, if you have a credit card and a understanding spouse, they next thing you need is patience, reefkeeping is a very slow process. The slower you go the better conditions you will provide for the inhabitants. Hence, the less need for a higher limit on the credit card. This usually makes the spouse understand
