When Should I add more fish?

I've got a 46gal tank that's been up and running for 6 weeks. I've got 1 clownfish and 1 foxface plus my cleanup crew. When do you suggest I add another fish?

the proper suggestion is you can easily add a fish to your QT, then in three weeks (assuming there's no fish diseases) you can add the fish to the DT. then add another fish to the QT, wait 3 weeks, add to DT.
if you don't have a QT, still wait the three weeks, but you're playing with fire.

Renogaw has a really good suggestion-if you cannot resist purchasing another fish.
But, as you will see over and over again, patience is the key to success. Overloading a tank with too many fish is never a good idea and yours is a NEW tank. 6 weeks is NEW. Many of us do not put any fish in our tanks in the fist six weeks of establishment.
Iwould suggest enjoying the fish you have, wait a few months and see how everything goes, then add your third fish. Your foxface will grow fairly large and when your clown is an adult, your tank wont look so empty!

I was going through the same thing when I first got my tank. You go to the LFS and see all the cool stuff! Waiting WILL be worth it in the long run. If for no other reason, planning your next purchase. My tank looked emtpy when I started adding things. Now by waiting, my corals and everything is so open from growing the tank looks full. Planning is the key. Research is a must. Good Luck

don't buy any fish, save your money for a bigger tank, that foxface needs a tank at least double of what you have....they grow to about 9" Even the Drs site says then need a 70 gal.
