When the power goes out!!!

Never thought it would happen to me, but it has. Two days without power, and well the coral skeletons tell the story. I'm sick to my stomach right now....

Oh wow, I'm so sorry to read this. Your before pics are so beautiful, but the after ones are so sad. I hope you'll be able to salvage something.

Scuba, I didn't lose everything, just the stuff I actually wanted to keep(acro's, milli's) which was most of the tank. Some zoo's, shrooms, frogspawn, and 4 different monti's were unphased by the tank temp drop down to 66.

TWO DAYS!!! And here I'm worried about a few hours. I'm so sorry. Makes me want to run out and buy a back-up generator.

Wow, that is heartbreaking! I've always been paranoid about that happening, too. I don't think my little tank would ever get that low in temp because we live in a very warm area, especially at this time of year but with your big tank it would be so hard to try to figure a way to keep it warm. I'm so sorry that this happened and good luck with getting it back going.

bump... i feel very sorry for your lost ... this is the only thing we're never expected....
we should set an account here for donation ... right here inside forum SWF so when it's happen ... at least everybody in here can help ...not much but at least the person feel that there is a lot of saltwater hobbyist in the world was just behind him (her) ...
