WALNUT CREEK - Police arrested a woman on charges of animal cruelty after she killed a tank of exotic fish in retaliation during a fight with her husband.
Sheriff's deputies responded about 6:15 p.m. Friday to reports that a couple were fighting at a home in the 200 block of Ludell Drive, Sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.
The husband had ripped out the cords to the home's telephones and tampered with the couple's cars, preventing his wife from making calls or leaving the residence, Lee said.
Deputies responding saw the wife, in apparent retaliation, dump powdered bleach into the couple's 300-gallon salt water tank, killing all the exotic tropical fish inside, Lee said

ALTHOUGH - I asked my husband one night to turn the temp down in the tank cause the water was getting to hot - he accidently turned it up and killed my 6 inch Scotts Fairy Wrasse -- so that did hurt more then when my dog eats my shoes
