When using a Cyano killer

My only point is this, if you kill Cyano you have to monitor your nitrates and threat your tank for the rise accordingly

Ren, everybody brings up your situation when "red slime remover" is even mentioned... I wonder why you had such a bad experience when so many have used it without the effects that you got.
Disclaimer... I am not saying to use it. I do agree with the fix your water advice.
But I am wondering why everyone is so scared because of one isolated case?
Heck, Kip lost his whole tank to flatworm exit, but I still recomend it...

dunno... i think it's more of a "holy cow, someone as "experienced" as renogaw (lol) killed off his tank with rsr so i'm going to fix my problem instead of using a chemical" type of thing.
flat worm exit is a LOT different than RSR imo... it TELLS you the dangers.
RSR says it's harmless... tells you to turn off your skimmer, and that it MAY affect your oxygen levels...
