When will my tank be clear?

I poured in 70 pounds of live sand into my 75 gallon tank. I turned off all of the pumps, and powerheads, so the water is completely stagnant. As you can imagine, it is a complete mess. You can barely see the back of the tank.
Does anyone know when my tank will be 100% clear like it was before?

keep the pumps on. If your water sits it will just become rotten and you will have to replace it all. i am assuming that this is a new tank? It hsould be completly clear in a week i would say as long as you dont ahve tooooo much flow in there.

At the very least .... a few days, maybe longer.

Ya it will eventually settle, keep your pumps on...it may also be settling more then it looks and you just have sand on the glass.

I read somewhere that I should keep the pumps off b/c the wet/dry will suck up sand particles that are still floating in the tank and it will be a never ending cycle. So I should turn the wet/dry back on? There is no water in the wet/dry as of right now, but I can fill it and get things going if I have to.

just have a ph in the tank to keep the water circulating

thats what i did for a few days then my tank was clear

Powerhead is running, I'll give it a few days, hopefully it clears up
