where can i find those styrofoam things

The styrofoam containers that swf.com ships their livestock in. Where can I get those?

Medical supply stores may keep them. I always keep about 10 on hand from my orders incase I do a trade etc.

how much are they about? Somebody said that I can make them out of sheets of styrofoam from home depot. Anybody know what type of adhesive would be used?

No adhesive needed. Just cut the styro to fit into a box.

im not using it for shipping though its going to be to hold sand so i would need it to be sealed. I was just going to find an adhesive and then when its dry line the edges with silicone or something. Any ideas?

Buy a plastic 5 gallon bucket from home depot. Or buy a styrofoam ice chest. If placing sand in you will not be able to move it around even if you do make it because it will burst.

Also go to your LFS. See if they are willing to give you some when they get their shipment in. We kept a lot in store so people getting lots of fish could use them, but we also threw a lot out. Might be worth asking, but definitely say you will be there the day they get 'em so they don't have to have them sitting around.

i just go buy like, 1/20lb piece of live rock, and i get one of the 2x2x1ft. styrofoam boxes, and they're great when i rearange my liverock, i take out all my rock, put it in the box, and then build untill the box is empty
