I have A+. It is the second most common blood type. If you do donate blood, don't listen to people who say things along the lines of, "you don't need to donate because your blood type is very common." Whether your blood type is common or not, donate! If it's more common, that just means more people can use it. The good that will come from it being used greatly outweighs the minor pain you will experience.

That doesn't mean I donate however.
Next time you have to get a blood test, ask your doctor to order a blood type test as well. Or, if you have ever had a surgery, your medical records will have your blood type.

Been a long time since I donated. Probably college...there were certain "games" that followed donating blood

I haven't donated in almost a year. And won't be able to donate for a little while either. But I will definitely resume donating after I have the baby.
