Where did my Fire Shrimp go?

I left on vacation for a week and came back and my fire shrimp was no where to be found i checked everywhere. I have hermit crabs, snails, and two false perculas, and thats it. I am wondering if they like to hide or do they just disipate when they die, because i have not found any remains of any kind either.

They are known to hide pretty well, how big is the tank?

tank is only 55 gallons

If it did die your clean up crew would of got to it.

Fire shrimp are known to hide, they dont like to much light which i have come to notice with mine of 3 months now....I also have heard they do better in pairs, makes them more active ....
