I need to get rid of a very large apstasia in my DT. I thought it was some kind of anemone that I didn't know I had, here I have been feeding the damn thing, only to learn that it is bad, LOL. Anyway I'm gonna try and inject it with concentrated lemon juice, from the forums I'm reading this seems to have the best results. Seems like everyone who has tried joes juice, doent work for them at all. The only thing is, is that I dont know where exactly to do the injection and how much?
Any tips?

IMO Joe’s juice does work. As for the lemon juice I have never used it but I would think you want to “feed” the aptasia so squirt it directly into the center. Since it is the acid in the lemon juice that is killing the aptasia you should see an almost instantaneous results. In a tank your size I would think an amount of about 2 to 3 ml should do the job. Please remember that adding an acid to ones tank can change the water chemistry. But IMO you will be fine with the dosage I suggested

I have read many post on lemon juice causing them to stress and bust. This could couse a spread.

I have a great LFS and with the info on these boards, I have went with kalkwasser(? spelling). The LFS gave me a small amount I have it stored in a syringe. When I see one get large enough to grab the end of the syringe I feed it. I am however starting to wonder if they are "borg".

The first time they lined up for it now a few will retreat when the feel the syringe.
But just a small amount and they instantly disappear back in their hole. In a few short minutes you will see them come out of their hole as a little black shriveled up string like thing.

So you don't actually inject it right into the anemone itself? Just release the juice in front of its mouth then?

I my opinion the aptasia will recognize the liquid as caustic and retreat I would get the syringe as close to its mouth as I can and squirt it all over it

here and I thought you needed a needled syringe to inject the aptasia.
Yeah, thats what I thought too.
Anyway, decided to go to my LFS today and I picked up Aiptasia-X, worked amazingly!
Once I applied it to the the aiptasia it almost immediately turned in on itself. Then after about 15-20 minutes it had totally disappeared, wow!
Good bye aiptasia! If anyone else has a problem with aiptasia, I highly recommend Aiptasia-X!
