where do you get your livestock

Usually from the LFS. It's a small, local shop. The owner is a good guy who generally knows what he's talking about. His prices are a bit high, but I generally try to support the local shop when I can.

SWF.com. Even though I don't see the livestock until it arrives, the quality is 10 times better than the selection I have to choose from at the LFS. I got the most gorgeous Juvi French Angel I have ever seen from them a few weeks back. I'd been looking for one in Chicago area LFSes, and never saw one of this quality. This isn't a special plug because it's their site, but I've just been extremely satisfied with the livestock from here.

Have you managed to find a good LFS in the Chicago area? One that has a large selection?

in chicago go to barrier reef. There quality is AMAZING. I have only seen like 2 fish or so w/ ick and i've been going to his store for about 1 1/2 years. All of his fish are perfect and the eat a ton. The prices are a bit extra but it's worth it. I get all of my fish from them.
