OK
I have a 55 gallon established tank. When I bought the tank it wasw 2 years old. Since I have had it, it seems to be growing more and more algae. The guy that had the tank before me did not have a cleaning crew of any kind, so I purchased the package from this site for 50 - 90 gallon tank. I STILL HAVE TONS OF ALGAE!!!
My paramaters are very good and I have PC lighting (2-65 watt 12,000k daylight and 2- 65 watt actnic. CAn some tell me where it is coming from, and how the #%-# I can get ride of it.
LOVE the hobby, but I am very frustrated

What kind of water are you using for top offs? Also, a cleaning crew would be good. An urchin or two can really clear out some algae. However some urchins can eat corals. Have you changed your lights recently? Changing lights can cause algae out breaks sometimes. But they don't last long.

Have you determined what kind of algae you have. You may not have the right tools(cleanup crew) to get the job done?
I have a very bad green hair algae problem that I have been fighting for 2 months.
 It is very aggrivating! I just keep on adding more to the cleanup crew and a couple urchins until it is cleaned up.
Patience Patience and more Patience.......
