I will be recieving my first clam tomorrow and am wondering where I should place it. It is a 2.5 inch T. Crocea. I have a 29 gal tank with a 175 w MH and two 17 w actinic PC's. I thought about placing it on the sand, but wasn't sure if it would recieve enough light??? Also, I know they are very photosynthetic so do they need supplemental feedings? And if so what do I feed? I dose phyto twice a week and feed invert food directly to my corals once a week. I thought about putting it on the sand in the left corner of the tank. I had also thought I heard somewhere that they should be placed on a small rock that is buried in the sand so they can't bury to deeply??? Is this right? Thanks!
