where should I go to college

Well I guess its almost time to start thinking about and visiting college. Just wondering if anyone had any good reccomendations. I would prefer so stay in the midwest, but Im not limiting myself to the midwest. So where do you all go to college and did you like it there?

I went to Univ. of Michigan for undergrad and it was AWESOME.
But as for other schools, the best advice I can give you is to decide what kinds of things interest you first and then pick a school based on that. You don't have to pick a major at most schools right away (and if I were you, I wouldn't until at least 2nd year . . . I'll explain if you want me to later) so look at schools that offer things or excell at things that you find interesting.
Another thing to consider is location . . .

Nas- I am thinking about economics, but like 007 said, its a little to early to know right now i think. Some people are telling me what I want to do should play a major role in where I go, so if I had to commit right now I would say economics, but that could easily change a year from now...
007, michigan sounds pretty cool. Big 10 school too right? I dont think its too far from me, maybe a good 6 hour drive. I like a lot of the big 10 schools, and have thought about visiting michigan, osu, purdue and my first choice right now if I can get in(not likely) Illinois.

I'm a senior in high school and here is what i'm going to do. I'm going to a smaller college my first couple years Univ of Central Oklahoma(not really my choice), and then I'm going to transfer to Oklahoma University or Oklahoma State University( where my dad graduated). The reason is it will be cheaper, the class sizes will be smaller, and my parents think when I get out of the house im going to party too much and flunk out.

U of M rocks . . . . plus, you won't find another city quite like Ann Arbor anywhere else in the midwest.
It is a Big 10 school.

All I can say is get good grades, and practice REAL hard . . . best of luck! It is not easy at all to get in at Michigan.
What is it with NY kids and going to Michigan? There are so many people from NY at U of M its like a mini NYC.
