Where should I place my powerheads?

I just got my two powerheads. One is a 106GPH, and a 160GPH. Maxi-jet are the brand. I'm wondering where I should place them. I've got the 106GPH at the top on the back left to stir up the surface water...is this good? or should it go somewhere else? Also where should the other more powerful powerhead go? Thanks for any help.

I would place the more powerful maxijet aimed up for water adjectation. That is real important for oxygen.
Then either face the other one up on the other side or maybe have blow down some on the live rock.

I have 3 in my 29gal. 2 are in the middle on opposite sides and the water streams criss-cross. The other is closer to the top and is aimed towards the middle of the tank. It also depends on what type of corals you have and rock placement so it's difficult to say where the best place would be.

also, i found if you face the powerhead towards the back of your tank, the coralline will really start to grow there. right now my powerheads are close to the surface, at opposite ends of my tank, and clash together in the middle. every day i have to wipe the front of my glass because it's purple, right where the currents hit the glass. that stuff doesn't come off easy either. i'm gonna be changing mine soon to hit off of the back glass instead (somehow)
