where to buy live rock

Does anyone have any expirience with buying rock online. If so could you share both good and bad expiriences with me, thanks.

I have bought 75 pounds of LR from this website. It has all been beautiful and full of growth. I have had many interesting hitchhikers, too. 50 pounds of LR from swf.com helped my 30 gallon reef cycle in only 2 weeks, and now it is just gorgeous. I have had less success with LFS rock that I was able to pick out myself. Go figure.

If your going to have it shipped its probably a good idea not think about what place has the best live rock but more like who has the cheapest. Regardless how good it is your going to have some die off when its shipped. Of all the rock I've purchased I feel plain old Fiji rock is the best. Have you looked at the prices here

The host here does have some decent prices on LR...and the vast majority of folks that have ordered from here seem to be pleased with the quality of the LR. Personally I've never ordered LR on-line...I prefer to hand select my pieces locally.
In addition it is a violation of board policy to mention alternative sites for products offered by the owners of this site...which may explain why members haven't refered you directly to some of the other available on-line vendors.

I would have to say the cheapest place is petwarehouse.com- thats where I got mine.. It was the cheapest I could find it anywhere.. Check it out.

I've onyl seen it offered one place online, btu pohnpei (spelling?) is the type of rock that i got and gt for my LFS. Its allwas teeming with life and various shapes and sizes i like it even better than fiji!
