Where to buy Macro Algae?

Hey everybody. I wasn't sure where to post this, so I guess this will be as good as any place. I noticed on a previous string that Adrian was talking about having Kelp in her display tank. I was wondering if anyone had any idea where you can buy live kelp, or even macro algae. I realize the macro algae can become a problem, but I'm really looking for either the kelp, or the Dictyota rossa. Any Dictyota would suffice, actually, but even with all the websites around, I haven't found any macro algae for sale. Anyone have any idea? Thanks!

Hello try checking out, www.*************.com, it's in lancaster pa, but they have an online website, not all of they're fish or corals are for sale on the web yet but they should be, and they do carry the kelp and macro algae.

I wouldn't buy fish on-line from TFP. I'm sorry but I am from PA and go to TFP at christmas when i'm back there visiting my family. Years ago they had great quality when it came to fish. The last two times i've been there all i've seen was ich in almost every tank. I do buy dry goods from them and then bring them back down here because they have great prices but I just don't like their livestock. Remember though that i've only been there like 4 or 5 times in the past 4 years but before i moved to florida i did notice the poor quality of fish(big selection though). For those of you up in PA correct me if i'm wrong about their fish. It's just something i've noticed everytime i get up there.

Hey guys. Thanks everyone for the responses! I can't seem to get *************.com to load, is that the correct URL? :)

I have been to the TFP and I agree with Fishfood. Their livestock is in scary shape. Their drygoods are very well priced though.
My LFS occasionally gets caulerpa and thats where I bought mine. Caulerpa is very fragile and I would not want to buy it w/out seeing it first. If others have had luck ordering it I would find out where they got it from.

I have been very satisfied with all of my purchases including caulerpa from Marine Depot.

I believe someone on this board(Lordofthereef maybe?) was giving some away if you agreed to pay for shipping. If not check out www.livebrineshrimp.com

Unfortunately though TFP is about one of the only places around here that carries any selection, unless ordering online. Most other stores don't carry anything or are to pricey, not many people with salt water tanks around here so the stores stopped carrying stuff. I use TFP for dry goods, and cleaners. Thats about it, anything else I try online.

The web site for TFP doesn't have any of the livestock listed. It is basically useless unless you want to call them.
As far as not being many salt water fishtank owners in that area i don't believe that. I mean That Fish Place is almost always busy, well it used to be, and they have more saltwater tanks in that store than probably 4 mom and pops lfs put together. The fish have to go somewhere :) I remember years back when you had to take a number in order to get waited on.
