{please dont link to sites that have advertisments for competitor sites on their site thank you, its against board policy} , MARK IS CURRENTLY BUILDING MINE. WHAT SIZE ARE YOU LOOKING, HE ONLY MAKES THEM SO BIG. MINE WILL BE 54" X 18" X 16" AND HE SAID THAT WAS THE BIGGEST HE COULD SHIP. THERES ALSO A PLACE IN NY THAT SELLS THEM, THEY'RE EXPENSIVE THOUGH. LET ME KNOW IF YOU NEED THE NAME.

Ok well after the replies I have decided to just make my own. I'm going to use a 30 Gallon Glass Aquarium and get 6 pieces of glass cut to make my baffles. If the width of the aquarium is 13 inches how wide should the glass pieces for the baffles be?
Thanks.

measure the inside depth and have it cut a bit smaller

Thanks, also does this apply for the height of the baffle? Like if it needs to be 10" tall should a make it a bit smaller so there is room for silicone?

What dimensions and what material would you like?

Here is a diagram with all of the dimensions also I would like it to be acrylic:

On the middle baffles, the height in inches is of the actual baffle. So on the left side the top of the middle baffle should be 11 inches from the bottom of the tank with the 1 inch gap and the top of the middle one on the right side would be 10 inches from the bottom.
Thanks again.

your third baffle from the left should be much lower so that the water can work its way up the main part of the fuge

The sump design you posted is the exact design glasscages uses. I know there are horror stories on them but there are horror stories on all companies. I had glasscages build my custom 180 & have had nothing but a good experience thus far. I also got my sump there. They actually get the sump tanks from somewhere else then they add all the baffles there to your specs if you you decide to design it yourself. It just seems like people are really quick to bash GC They make alot of tanks & have a lot of happy customers as well.

Is the second pic I posted supposed to be how my baffles are or are they supposed to be like the ones in the first pic?

Ok I have decided to make it myself. I'm getting the baffles cut and I need to know the width of them. I measured the inside of the tank I'm using for the sump and its 12" wall to wall on the inside. 13" including the glass. So should I get the baffles cut at 11.75" to give myself room for the silicone?

Get the glass cut to the closest tolerance you can. A 1/4" gap from the edge of the baffle to the inside of the tank is WAY to much to fill with silicone. How are you planning to hold the glass in place withan 1/8" gap on each side? It will be much harder to do and not as strong, let alone you will make a mess trying to fill that large a gap.
