Where to Mount In/Outputs of Fluval Nozzle?

Hi guys. I got my Fluval 404 today. I was wondering where inside the tank is the best place to mount the input and the output nozzle? Which direction should the output nozzle face in the aquarium and should it be far away from the input nozzle or near it?

i would put it both in the middle of the tank and have the output flow pointing away from the input

You can put them just about anywhere you want IF you have plenty of turnover (flow) through the tank to keep detrius suspended and moving around so the filter can pick it up...
When I ran a canister filter I'd put the input/output on opposite ends of the tank to get the largest amount of distribution before recycling.
