wheres a good place to get car info?

I have always been very interested in cars and stuff but it seemed so far away untill I got one of my own that I never really bothered with anything but the basics. With my bday being tmrw I will hopefully finally get my permit which as been about the most exiting thing to me ever since I was 4.
Anyway I wanna learn more about the workings of cars in areas of modifications and things like that. I also have come to the realization that the thousands spent on all my fish tanks could have been spent on car parts so right now the tanks are on standstill lol. My next big thing is trying to get a 05 mustang and some bolt on parts and stuff as my first car to fool around with... Just the V6, gt is out of the price range.
So does anyone know of any good online car forums or informational websites or anything where I can learn about some stuff?
Anybody have any cool modded cars or stangs? thanks

Please do everyone a favor and learn how to drive well before you worry about having a fast car.... There should be a law that brand new drivers can't have a car that can go faster than 55.

There have got to be plenty of sweet mustang forums out there, just search.

Yes actually. For whatever car you end up buying, be sure to get the Full Service manual.
Not the owners manual but the complete service manual. Either Haynes or Helms is usually your best bet.
Has step by step instructions on everything you need to know to take apart and put back together most anything and everything in your car and under your hood. Not to mention it contains all of the torque specs and other necesary information such as wiring and vacuum diagrams you might find handy at some point

Subscribe to a car mag like Car Craft, Hot Rod or Popular Hotrodding...or all three.
Hang out with "car people." (my house)
Get a job at a junkyard pulling parts.
TriFive.com is a user friendly car forum. No bashing, politics or bad language.
Look for exploded views of things like differentials and steering gears on the internet.
I can start posting DIY articles for you to read if you like. PM me and I can hook you up via email as well.

I honestly would highly advise against this. I'm 28 now and since I was 16-til about 21 I spent every cent I had on cars. I had a Mustag gt as my first car spent about 2k on that pos, a 92 civic hatch which I spent about 12k on, 87 vw gti spent alot on that, 97 vw golf spent some on that. These cars got me nothing but speeding tickets and fines to pay. Now that i'm older I definately regret spending any money on an exhaust system especially a 3 thousand dollar motor when my car ran just fine. Finally when I was 21 I bought a new rsx-s when I made 12$ an hour. Car payment 417-insurance 325 per month. Obviously very expensive for someone making 12$ an hour. All that money wasted. Now I have nothing but a 10yr old saturn which will get my broke ass to college and back reliably!!

I did get a really really hot temporary girlfriend with the acura for a little bit tho

Well I plan to make it more of a hobby and I really don't have much interest in racing jus mods for now haha. I'm talking to my uncle who has a permit or whatever it is that allows him to go to dealership auctions to hopefully get a good price lol.
