whew what a day!

Alright, I'll tell you my story and then hopefully you can fill me in on the gaps lol
I woke up this morning ready to really do a number on my reef tank. I have a 65 gallon show tank, 10 gallon fuge and while it isnt hooked up yet a 20 gallon for a sump. I took out all my coral from the 65 and placed it into the 20 so that I could get out the liverock. Once this was done I grabbed my net and scooped up my foxface who was growing too large for the reef. I also grabbed the coral banded shrimp that was getting VERY agressive. Funny thing was not ten minutes after I take out the foxface my coral beauty goes belly up! I'm a little alarmed at this point so I simply sit and watch as my sabretooth blenny and my cleaner wrasse both kick the bucket!!! What the crap is going on??
At this point I'm watching my 2 clowns, 2 cleaner shrimp, scooter blenny and diamond goby like hawks now... then guess what!
Well everything looks good. Hours go by and everyone looks reasonably happy, although the clowns are breathin a little quick. Then, as I'm smoking a "special" smoke I glance over at the carpet anenome and see the diamond goby sticking HEAD FIRST into the anenome's mouth! Within three seconds I have a net in hand and try to extricate the bugger, however I only quickened the rate the anenome sucked him in. Boo.

ALL of my coral looks GREAT! but can anyone explain what the crap happened to all my fish today???

Maybe you released some gas trapped under the substrate.Maybe in the netting confusion the foxface stung the other fish.:notsure:

If you moved rocks that had been resting on the sand for a while you prolly stirred up a lot of funk and spiked your ammonia which wiped out your fishies. Test for ammonia yet?

As far as the fish deaths, I agree with Angelofish, that you released some trapped gas.

When you have kids you might think differently. I say you might because obviously some people do not, like our friend up here^^^ who wants to gloat about his activity. I know this is off the subject, but excuse me if I happen to be a concerend parent. I teach high school so I know a little more than you about how easily kids are influenced.
