I just picked up a paired gold stripe maroon clowns yestereday and was wondering what type of anemone they will most likely host? I have a large carpet in there now and they have not hosted that. Please advise! Thanks

they will not have to have anything as a host actually. Some never take to it. Our first clown took to the heater
and then one day a year or so later started wiggling around in the anemone. LTA's are good to have, but not necessary IMO.

I have a 2in gold stripe that lives in a purple tip sebea anomone. She loves it and when I feed, she takes chunks of food to it and then has a meal.

They'll host in anything. I had one using Xenia exclusively, even though there was a BTA in the tank. Went on vacation for Thanksgiving this year, and when I came back, he was in the BTA and was using it ever since.
I've read that they like BTAs the best.

I just bought a pair of goldstripe maroons and a LTA. I was getting a bit discouraged, came home from dinner last night and they were in the anemone. It took them about 3 days.
