very nice bubbagump...and to all others who have been taken shots I want to say a big thanks.
I do not and (no offense) WOULD NOT own a vaio as I own a PC store and we custom build our systems. I put a 6 in 1 card reader in all the pc's I build so memory types are simply not a problem.
I have had two digital cameras so far but neither were for macro use..never had a need until the SW came on just recently.
Again thanks to everyone so far!

Of course I don't know what anyone else knows or does on here........but I don't even use the stock software for cameras. The only thing they give me that I use is the drivers usually, and I don't bother with the rest.......basically every camera I have owned comes up as a removable drive as soon as it's plugged in.....The g3 did come with photoshop which ain't cheap, but I have an editor I have used for years and prefer......bundled sotware is NOT a selling point for me AT ALL......I actually get quite angry when any hardwares installation disk adds programs to my PC that I did not want, but was forced on me via installation. I go out of my way to remove windows "extras" every time I reformat that are forced by windows, so why would I would more programs slowing my PC??? Anyway.....the software that comes with a camera, scanner, printer, joystick, etc etc etc ........does not see it's way onto my PC anyway, so software means very little to me.....just jacks up the cost.:(

I didn't install anything that came with my camera either, when I bought it, I bought a USB port scan disc that just plugs in,(19.95) when I want to upload my photos, I put the card into it and it brings eveything up. Saved me alot of headaches. Lisa

Ok now people we are getting off topic. I was just inquiring which camera was best for macro pictures. I am not concerned about what software is loaded or what pc to buy or whatever. (hope that did not sound harsh).
Thanks for the input so far.

Picked up a Nikon D100 earlier this week. Don't have a lens that can do macro yet, but that's coming. Here are they three good shots I've gotten so far with a lens off my old Nikon 6006 film based SLR camera.
