Are there any major differences between the 24g tank and the 28g? Besides 4 gallons of course.

i think the 28gallon comes with 2 return pumps, other than that dont think so

I like my 34 gallon Solana. I have the metal halide disco ball on my set up. Skimmer works fairly well, but it's a little loud. I am going to replace it with a sapphire aquatics skimmer.

i would go with the 29 gallon biocube i have 4 biocubes and if you go on nanocustoms they have light upgrades

I've got the JBJ 28g HQI, set it up on 4/3/09.
It comes with two PH's which is nice but I still added a Korilla 1 for extra flow. strangely enough the knock outs to run the korilla cord through are only on one side of the back of the lid which is strange, not sure why they did not put one on each side so you can place the pump on either side and run the cord straight out the back.
Comes with a skimmer which is weak but better than no skimmer at all. skimmer runs off an air pump
Lid and skimmer design do not allow you to open the lid with skimmer in place which really sucks as you just get the skimmer set in the right position and then you end up with a reason to open the lid which causes you to remove the skimmer and start over.
No timers included so you need to provide timers for your HQI and LED's, seems like other cubes have built in timers. also fans go off when light turns off which sucks as they should stay on either constant or longer than the light to help cool the bulb after use, poor design IMO
Overall after almost one month no problems and I am happy with the purchase overall.
