which corals to buy for new 125 reef?

please see my lighting in my sig. which corals should I buy?
how many to add now? (tank has ran around a month)
How long should I run my lights?

i personaly like the bubble coral and the elegance pulsating xena.

I have the neatest Mushrooms. I have never seen them for sale in a store, but got them off of a private add. They are flourescent green, and when the lights are on they light up as if they are plugged in. Its phenominal.
Im a fan of Elegance, bubbles, mushrooms, and Sun Polyps.

gabby....pleasure to meet ya.....been seeing ya here quite a bit and it sounds like you are developing a very nice system......
to answer your post...........let the tank stabalise...........get calcium and alkalinity to levels of 400-450 ppm for calcium & 2.8-3.5 meg/l for alkalinity...........try some easy types of corals first.....mushrooms.....polyps.........maybe a leather.......let them settle and as they do you and your reef will grow....then study up on progressively more difficult to keep corals.....best advice though........be patient and read read read.....and keep posting here cause it sounds like you will have a very nice system.......

thanks so much for the warm welcome and the great advice! I am taking your suggesion to heart and only getting a couple mushrooms and polyps. Any advice on where to buy them online? How many to buy?

good luck on the new tank! sounds like you have the lr portion of it taken care of. do you have a ls bed? just a tought. also thought i would point out that no links to other sites, can be put into these posts. also no other stores can be named. fyi
leather corals are really cool. so are open brains. the views on pulsing xenia vary but i like them

now I have the aragonite chrused coral and a few bags of sand, should I add live sand on top of it?
Would I have to remove the aragonite to add sand?
Won't the aragonite become "live"?
