I have 3 eels
1.5' chain link
1.5' fimbraited moray
2.5' spotted moray
IMO all eels are easy to take care of as long as you do your part and provide them with what they need.
All eels are very easy to care for. My eel is 2ft long. Feed it once a week until satiation and that's it. They don't get ich. Pretty much bullet proof.

wow, once a week. i feed my snowflake pretty much once a day. when im feeding he always comes out so i end up giving him some food. is that bad? he is still a baby, almost a foot.
Are you feeding it just a little bit? I feed my eel to satiation, meaning until he can't eat another bite. His body is stuffed. You can see all the food like a stuffed sock haha. That's why only once a week.

i give him one silverside. he takes that and hides in a cave. he doesnt come out for more. today he didnt even come out when i was feeding wihch shocked me.
I tend to think that the easiest eel to care for would be the Snowflake. As it's often rated as a beginner eel, and they can be kept in a 25-30 gallon tank.

I was told that you should not feed your eel everyday. 2 to 3 times a week max. Feed till they are no longer hungry.
Zebra Eel hands down. They are also the most peaceful. They only eat crustaceans so all your other fish will be safe too. They are somewhat reclusive though. Mine spends a lot of time in the rockwork. It's about 3.5' long and eats once or twice a week.
