Which end is up??

I just recieved my feather duster from *********** today. Can anyone tell me how to distinguish which end they come out of?? Any help would be appreciated.

that's what I thought, but neither end has a hole!

Does if feel like there is somebody home?
Just lay the thing on the sand for a while.
If he come out of the tube, then you will know which end is which. If he hasn't come out of the tube yet, then you may just have an empty old tube. bummer.
