Which filter for 150+ - LifeGuard, Ocean clear or Wet/Dry?

Hi all,
In the process of building a new system, and trying to determine what filter setup I should do since I'll be having a lot of live rock, and a few soft corals, but mainly a fish only tank.
Anyone used a LifeGuard or Ocean Clear system vs. a Wet/Dry system with any success or happiness?
The Ocean clear is 4x the cost of the Lifeguard system, so does anyone know why someone would want to fork out the money for the Ocean Clear system?
All in all, what is best for a big tank with live rock and some corals - wet/dry, or lifeguard type system?
I'll have a hang on skimmer (or two).
Thx!!

save some money
build a sump(and or fuge) and add to that a GOOD skimmer. you will be much, MUCH better off in the long run, and will prob cost less. not to mention much less maintenance.
for a reef, i say sump/skimmer is best posible.
