Which fish can we get?

The sixline can be very aggressive. If it were me I'd add it completely last, well after everything has establish a territory. I would go with 2 clowns and then the cardinal. and then everything else. Also if you plan to keep sps angels are rolling the dice. My bud has a flame and a potters both in different tanks , both sps and one picks at the polyps while the other has never touch anything. but if no sps you should be good.
Hope that helps

I would set up a refugium NOW and stock it with copepods if you are planning on getting a mandarin goby in 6-8 months(I haven't had much luck with the tigger pods) I would never plan on getting a fish and expect to train it off copepods without a back up if the training doesn't take. Just my 2 cents...They will eat the copepods in your tank quite quickly, you would be surprised.

I already have a Refugium. Everything has been up and running for awhile now.
Anyone ever tried the reef bugs they sell in the store

FWIW
My tang attacked my flame angel within seconds of adding him to the tank. (this of course may be the exception not the rule...can't say on that)
RIP
I would add the tang with the flame or after the flame if I was to do it again.
My mandarin eats thawed blood worms in addition to copepods. I did not have to train him to do this, but I assume this must be unusual.
May be worth a shot anyway.

So add the Flame first? Then the tang?

I would say either Flame first, or both at same time.
In general terms the aggression is usually about territorialism.
If the flame is there first, usually the tang would know he already has established the territory so would not attack.
That said, one additional thought, size plays a part in all this as well.
Small fish not as likely to attack big fish, but big fish more likely to attack small fish that it does not like.

sailfin tang in general r very peaceful. other tangs such as powder blue r more aggressive. as for adding flame 1st, it wont be good since it needs an established tank. other things (ie. specific type of tangs) beside aggressiveness need to be taken into consideration, when adding fish, trueperc.

oh no, truperc is the person who responded to ur thread b4. sailfin tang is probably the most passive of all tangs.

nycbob I agree with your assertion that other factors need to be taken into account.
I would suggest you re-read my posts, since it appears you did not understand them the first time.

I personally would not recommend the tang, as it is not suitable in that tank long term. Sailfin tangs get rather large, and are quite active.

Thats what I was thinking too. Sailfins get really big, and I thought they would need a 6 ft tank.
