As long as it is live rock then it is up to you to decide which you like the look of. Many think having different types of rock makes for a diverse tank with diverse life.
No macro algea here, and I only like fake money anyway, its only paper.

With only 50 lbs in a 125 gallon tank, you've got room for a lot more rock as I'm sure you know. You can mix and match or go for a single look with all fiji. It's whatever you like. Good luck on making your choice.

The 2 types of LR you mention are very different. As Thomas says, many like diversity, however, if you are actually trying to achieve a system that is "natural" looking and consistent with the real reef "look", you will want to choose one or the other. Caribbean rock tends to be very dense. It is not as porous, and it is much heavier. Fiji, on the other hand, is very porous, lighter and thus, more bang for your buck. 20lbs of Fiji will get you more pieces of rock then will Caribbean.
You should research the 2 types here and on the internet and see which appeals to you best.

Ok great advice so far. I did forget to mention that I do already have some base rock as well so I do have about 100-125lbs already. I am setting up a fuge and sump this weekend and will be needing extra for that as well.
Also I am basically doing a FOWLR in a 125 and getting a 55g tomorrow that I am not sure what I am doing with it yet.
Thanks everyone so far
:D

I prefer fiji over Caribbean if only due to reports of many more mantis shrimp being found in Caribbean LR...plus the factors Beth mentioned. All of my LR is fiji...much more porous and much more actual rock for your money!

I too prefer figi rock and have been lucky enough to not encounter any bad critters in the lr I have purchased.
