i've never used florida keys ls but i've used naturs ocean...N.O. is just bacteria...no little critters in it. It is live sand because of the bacteria but just so you know, you won't get any "animals" in the bag.

I've had good success using a combination.....
maybe 20% natures ocean LS...
75% carib sea aragamax oolite...
5% active LS from curing tanks at my only trusted LFS...
if possible get some LS from an established system to futher add diversity

Dry sand and live rock will make live sand in time! Don't waste your money on bagged "live sand."

we used aragonite(south down play sand), and just seed it with carib sea, just to speed up the process, the lr will do the job, but 100% ls and lr can get to be very expensive, and is not worth every cent,a s mentioned, it would be just as good to use @90% dry aragonite, considering you have lr, and just seed the sand bed
