Which Return Pump?

Me and my dad are hoping to build a 20 gallon sumo/fuge under our 55 (undrilled) eventually. I plan on using a Cpr Cs102 overflow. Will this be ok?
My question is, what would be a good return pump to use? I need a moderate to hige amount of flow because i have a reef. I need a pump that is as quiet as possible.
Also, i wasnt sure on the best outlet though. Would a spraybar be ok?
Thanks

for a return pump.. i like mag drive... thats if it's a submergable one u need... as for a external... try ..... darm cant htink of it.. it's the other make of iwaki... it's yellow.. think it's called blue somthing.. but it's a nice punp.. very quiet... and as for outlet for it.. i say a single open port that 't' off to a spraybar... as for most turnover rate u can have for that one retun pump... well thats a matter of how much gph your overflow can do ( i mean.. if you overflow only brings 500 gph .. you cant expect to pump 700 gph cuzz it will run dry in sump..) so.. you size a return pump to whatever yout overflow is.. and add a close loop or powerheads for additional turnover... ohh forgot about the cpr overflow.. i think they kinda suck if you use them without the recamended aqua lift pump.. but if u do have one with the aqua lift pump they they are good.. ( for some reason this overflow trap lots of air in the 'u' part and slow or break the shyphone.... thats why they suck w/o the aqua pump..

what overflow would you reccomend? im thinking i will need around 750-850 gph, so ill probably need a bigger over flow then? which is better, a submersible or external pump?
i was looking at aquadirect's site and i found the Blueline HD40 pump. 780gph. is this the one you were talking about? is it submersible or external?

i think thats it.. bluline... like i said.. the cpr with the aqualift pump will work ... as for which pump is better??.. well i personally like external... for the transfer less heat to the tank water and they are stronger.. only down side it that some use a fan to cool them down some.. ( it's part of the shafth assembly .. think of a drill.. when u pull the trigger that air is blown via a fan that is part of the shafth ) anyhow.. this fan can be somewhat loud.. it all depends on the maker.. but i have heard a blueline up close and running.. it's quiet... i dont know if they make it in amercican or jap moter.. ( but if they do.. buy the jap moter)

that blueline pump is external right?
about how many gph's would i lose if it has to travel up about 4 ft?

I wouldn't use the CPR overflow unless they have changed em..IME, they are wet floors waiting to happen. I'd go with the simple U-tube design...These are pretty much fool proof.

yeah i the bluline are external.. and as for how much it can pump for the given head pressure.. there should be a spec sheet that break it all down... i on the other habd always over size my pumps.. i just 't' it off ..and put a valve on the 'tee'ed ' of leg and have that dumping back into the sump... that way.. you are shure the pump is strong enuugh ( you just open the valve and tweek it some to get the desired return into the tank.. this bypass thing is so the pump dont have so much of a head pressure.. it is also nice to have just in case another equipment needs a feed... i e. a recurculating skimmer..)
