Which tang is a better algea grazer?

Hello,i have a 260 gallon reef with a blue hippo tangs in it. I would like to get another tang. In our stock list we have planned to get both a yellow tang and a sailfin. At this point we dont have an algea problem. we just have a little algea on some rock, and id like to get a tang to take care of it. In your opinion whish is a better algea grazer Yellow or sailfin tang?

I have both and I'd say they're about the same. If you do decide to get both, you need to watch out for aggression between the two of them.

Best algae grazer pound for pound is the One Spot Foxface Siganus unimaculatus IMO. Great fish too.

What algae are you looking to control? If it's one of the nuisance algae, diatoms, cyano, etc, no fish will likely graze on it.

I have had a flame angel for about 4 years and she is the best cleaning the rocks all the time
the days I dont feed here on her alge clip, also get all the tangs at the same time
U should do that with all species add them at the same time...

With no way to prove anything to the contrary; because tangs are herbivores, the bigger the fish, the more algae they eat...maybe? Flame angels are omnivores and will eat a lot of algae, but a lot of the food they get from grazing on LR is made up of tiny crustaceans and other meaty items.
