which type of salt to use?????

ok from reading and my testing ive come to the conclusion that instant ocean is not the way to go on a reef tank which sucks because before realizing this i bought another 150gallons worth

but im going to make sure to get the best kind possible next time
here are the 2 im looking at picking up one or the other
which one

i'm sure you will find a wide range of opinions.
I'd go for the cheaper of the two, which is oceanic....thats what i use.
i'd go with tropic marin if i had an sps tank, other than that i don't see a big difference.
the oceanic gives me high cal but i've got coraline growing crazy, i see it as a plus.

thanks i was looking more into oceanic any way
just wanting to make my inhabitants as happy as possible and want to promote better coraline growth as well just got to start getting the rest of my coral

ordered the OCEANIC type hope it lives up to what it says because i need coraline algae growth and i want the calcium,magnesium,alk. to be easier to work with whatever i can get to do as little dosing with additives the beter
so until it comes in im not messing with dosing my calcium,magnesium unless i totally have to
hope my corals will be happier too

Because it has no calcium or trace elements. Reef Crystals if filled with good stuff. Instant ocean is for FOWLR where no elements are needed.

ok today i just got in my OCEANIC salt
"man when you 1st wake up everything is so freakin heavy"
i work 3rd shift and took alittle cat nap and when i woke up my nebour called me and told me they delivered the salt/substrate over there
so my tired butt had to go over and get them
anyways im mixing up a 25% water change as i speak( well i mean type

)
