Which would be best??

I am a guy on this site going to build me my canopy.
My choices are as follows:
(a)1 175w metal halide with 2 65 watt actinic powercmpacts.
(b)1 175w metal halide with 2 75 watt vho actinics.
(c)4 vho 2 full spectrum 2 actinics.
THe Vho i will not be able to have the dusk/dawn effect.
I want to keep clams sps and acro eveuntually. Will I have enough with one of these setups. I am not going to rush with these corals just want to be able to have enough one day. I have a 29 gallon tank....
Which would be my better choice???

i would go with (b)
reason being i personally think VHO tend to bring out color lil better than PC's and if your planing on keeping a clam/sps, mh is almost a must , plus the shimmering effect that mh gives off is cool.
maybe step up to a 250mh, cost shouldnt be that much more

If those are the choices you can fit I'd go with B as well. I think the VHO actinics are a must to supplement the MH as the bring out the colors better and as you stated you can do the dusk and dawn thing by turning on only the actinics.

I am defintely going to have the dusk dawn effect if I go with metal halide I think this is a cool thing to have. Tanks look cool with just blue. I want the fish to be happy too. Will 380 watts be too much on my 29 gallon tank?? I dont want to run a chiller...
