White Algae?

What's the deal with white algae? Anyone familiar with this. I did see a picture of it here on SWF, uder the helpful ID list in the forums, but there was no info just a picture. Is this stuff good / bad?

Do you have a pic. ? Are you referring to white coraline algae.

Hmmm....maybe it is white coraline algae didn't know there was such a thing!
But here is a picture of what it resembles. Pretty much looks the same. Picture is from SWF.

Its hard to tell from that pic and your discription.It could be coraline algae bleaching.Check you calcium and alkalinity.

Yes in most all cases Coralline that looks white is bleached or dead.
