I bought one a month ago. i heard it dose not live long in captivity. Do all of them died because of ick or just died for no reason. What if the fish don't have ick and is eating fine, will it die?
They do not usually pass because of ich. They usually die because they are not eating and therefore, get very skinny and no nutrition.
What are you feeding this fish and what kind of vitamins do you use in the food?

Hello-I do think this is a tang that is supposed to one of the harder ones to keep-if your tank is well established-good parameters-hopefully he will do ok-feed a variety of foods-they like algea foods-feed frozen-formula 1, formula 2 ,mysis(they also like meaty stuff) brine plus, marine cuisine, squid, emerald entree and algea strips. My tangs eat all of those foods. Might be a pain getting all those foods and feeding but well worth it for your fish. :happyfish :happyfish Saw your video-your tank looks really pretty! Your fish ate great & it looks like they could eat a little more! I tend to feed a little heavy-and I do weekly water changes. And I do feed a variety. :happyfish :happyfishOh and I do not believe its a white cheek....heres my white face/cheek boy...
Algae and pellet definitely will not sustain that fish. I would suggest going to the store and picking up around 5 quality frozen fish foods to start. Formula foods are best - Ocean Nutrition makes very good ones.
