White Dots

I have a eclipse 5 gal hex. it's been going for 6 months, but it has these little white dots all over the plastic tank now. I'm afraid if i scurb them off I'll scratch the tank. How do I get rid of these dots? Bob

circulation, from what u say (which isn't alot) the salt is not moving around enough in the tank... u need to get some circulation to get it going. (I am assuming ur five gallon is a sw)

bob are they hard little white dots or are they moving? if their moving than they are pods of some sort and you want to leave them alone. if they are hard dots they could be some kind of worm that has a hard outer shell and i have read that these are good also.imo dont bother with them its a sign of a healthy tank.

Most are moveing. you can see them on the live rock and punp also. And there is water movement in the tank. bob
