White lines on my glass

When I came home from work today, I noticed these thin, white chainlooking lines on my glass in three spots. I thought it was something stuck to the glass but after a while, the ends of these "chains" began to wave freely in the water, although still attached to the main "chain". I saw this stuff in three different places on the glass.
Does anyone know what this could be?

Do you have cerith snails? It sounds like it could be cerith snail eggs. They will lay them in stringy kind of squiggly chains. Usually end up as dinner for something.

Yes, I added cortez cerith snails to my tank last Friday. So far, nothing is touching them. Do margarita snails lay eggs too? I added them along with the cerith's.
BTW, those cerith snails really do a good job cleaning my glass and sandbed. I'm impressed. They put my astreas to shame!

They are cerith eggs then. Maybe you'll get a couple that make it. I've had a few that did before. I love ceriths, they get in those nooks and crannies that bigger snails can't get to.
